Horizon consultants are Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) with extensive experience in the field. Our consultants have diverse backgrounds in applied settings including public and private schools, collaborative programs, early intervention and specialty services, residential placements, nursing homes and more. Consultation often starts with meetings with administrators, teachers, family members and other stake holders to establish objectives. Once a consultation plan is created then the consultant conducts observations in the target settings and collaborates with teaching or therapeutic staff. Common consultation duties include program planning and organization, dynamic assessment of student skills and behaviors, creation and maintenance of individualized programs, writing behavior intervention plans, evaluating language needs, creation of alternative communication modalities and more. Written notes are often delivered as a record of the consultation. Consultants can also assist in the supervision and training of direct care staff.

Highly qualified Horizon BCBA Consultants conduct a variety of standard assessments including:

Horizon Consultants also conduct nonstandard assessments that are tailored to the needs of individuals, families and schools. Reports are generated for all assessments and recommendations are based on current trends in applied settings and peer reviewed research literature.
